We are excited to announce that K.C. Brechnitz has joined CriticalPoint as Head of Private Credit. Mr. Brechnitz’s 26 years of experience in credit underwriting and capital markets, as both a banker and an advisor, will bring valuable insight and resources in expanding the firm’s Private Credit practice. Mr. Brechnitz will work closely with CriticalPoint’s team to grow the firm’s lending capabilities, broaden its relationships, and expand the solutions the firm can provide to its clients through creative structuring and a flexible capital model.
Prior to joining CriticalPoint, Mr. Brechnitz was a Principal and the Global Head of the Capital Markets Advisory practice at Ernst & Young, LLP (“EY”). He helped found the practice in the U.S. and completed over $85 billion in advisory assignments over his 13 years at EY. Prior to EY he spent 13 years in leveraged finance with Bank of America and Wells Fargo, working on private equity backed LBOs, corporate acquisition financings and restructurings. As a banker, he completed nearly $60 billion in leveraged financings in a lead role.

The firm’s Private Capital division has both Equity Capital and Private Credit businesses. CriticalPoint Private Credit’s mission is to offer custom financing solutions across the capital structure [for business owners, management teams and financial partners] to accommodate a company’s growth, operating, and financial needs. The Private Credit business is a direct lending partner for U.S. based lower to middle market companies with a target investment size ranging from $1 million to $20 million. The platform offers a broad range of flexible financing solutions, including first-lien, stretch senior unitranche, second lien, and subordinated debt, as well as equity co-investments to companies across a wide range of industries.
